Tucked away on the ranch is a small, beautiful space we call The Prayer Shack—a simple room filled with peace, soft light, and the quiet presence of God. It is open seven days a week for anyone who needs a moment to step away from the noise of life, sit in stillness, and talk to God in their own way and at their own pace.
A Space Set Apart
When you step into The Prayer Shack, you step into a different pace. The walls are lined with prayer slips, the light is soft, and the air feels still. There is no schedule, no agenda, and no expectation—just a peaceful space where you can breathe, listen, and be honest with God.
The Prayer Slips
On a small table, you will find simple prayer slips and pens. You are invited to write down whatever is on your heart: a worry, a hope, a confession, a name, or a thank‑you. When you are finished, you can hang your slip in one of the many spots around the shack. Over time, the walls have become lined with these small pieces of paper, each one a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles, our questions, or our joys.
Privacy & Respect
We treat each prayer slip with quiet respect. You are not required to put your name on it, and no one will ever pressure you to share more than you wish. As part of their ministry, the hosts of Lake Ranch regularly pray over the slips as a way of standing with you before God, even if they never know exactly who wrote them.

Scripture is available if you wish to read, or simply sit in quiet.

We encourage you to silence your phone, take a deep breath before you step inside, and give yourself a few unhurried minutes. Sit, listen, read a passage of Scripture if you wish, or simply let the quiet do its work. When you are ready, you can write a prayer slip, hang it, and leave knowing that your prayers have been entrusted to God.
